My Turning Point

It’s amazing that a simple drink, wu-yi tea, can be considered my turning point in losing weight. Over the years I have been so disappointed in the diet products and systems I have tried. Actually strike that, disappointed in myself for not having the mindset and discipline to allow them to work. Because what I feel it boils down to is a lot of whats out there does in fact work! It’s that people simply look for excuses and reasons not to stick to a particular diet or take the steps required to truely lose the weight.

It’s easy to walk away from a diet saying the product doesn’t work, the system failed. NO, I now realize it was me who failed because I lacked the dedication, the mental determination, and discipline to do what was right for my body and health.

I’ve recently been drinking a diet tea. It’s been called wu yi tea and it’s been popping up a lot lately from some of the attention it’s been getting in the media. Every month now since starting on this tea diet I have been able to shed pounds steadily and consistently. It’s been amazing.

But whats truely amazing to me is that I now have the outlook and mindset to allow this to work for me! The tea has turned out to be ideal for me because of the ease of use and it doesn’t require unrealistic or strict guidelines to see results. I’ll be happy to comment on just how great the tea is in future posts. But had I not changed my attitude and behaviors regarding my health, I would still be in the same boat as before, jumping from one diet to the next, one product to the next, and STILL not losing a single pound!

As I drink this wu-yi tea and incorporate it into my diet now, I still get up everyday with a positive attitude and tell myself, I’m losing weight, I’m going to continue to lose weight, and I’m going to live a healthy LIFESTYLE and not be bound by a diet of “can’t do’s” and “can’t have’s!”

Stop Thinking It's About a Diet...

Start thinking it’s about a Lifestyle! I thought I’d share a rather simple statement I heard today on the radio driving home from work as I was eyeing McDonald’s… NO, I didn’t stop, I kept on driving by!

Anyway, the statement was “Stop thinking about a diet and start thinking about a lifestyle.” I think sometimes people get so caught up on the word diet that we drive ourselves crazy. The word diet has a lot of dread surrounding it. We can’t have this, can’t have that.

The point of the matter is if we take a positive outlook on losing weight it does boil down to being a lifestyle that we can and should live. It’s more than the food we eat, it’s being more active, getting exercise, choosing whats best for our health both physically and mentally! We’ve got to live it in everything we do. I’m choosing a lifestyle, forget the diet!

Overweight, Out of Shape, Unhealthy, My Story...

My name is Samantha, I’m a 34 year old woman who for some time now has been struggling with my weight and health.  Being overweight as many people can relate to, both men and women, has an effect on everything you do in your daily life.  Things are more strenuous, difficult, certainly uncomfortable!  I make no excuses for myself as over the years I could have taken steps to prevent where I am today, but unfortunately I did not.

Over the past few months however, I’ve made a commitment to myself to lose weight and seriously take a look at my health and make improvements!  I was tired of being depressed about my weight, being out of breath just walking up or down a flight of steps, and sick of all the stares I got in public.  I had a life changing moment that caused me to really take a close look at my health and today, I am a new person!

As my friends began to notice the change in me both physically and mentally, they asked what it was I had been doing.  It was then I started to think that if I can share my experience and possibly help others it would benefit them but also serve to be a bit of self help for myself.  This blog is for me to be proud of what I’ve accomplished and share my story, but most of all to possibly serve as support and encouragement for those who may be struggling with the same issues I did.

In the days to come I’ll share my story and what I did to lose my weight.  I’ll discuss my highs and lows and hopefully, my experiences whether good or bad will some how and in some way encourage, motivate, and help others who have gone through the same issues.
